I had a down moment yesterday. I started to get angry over stupid things, and then I had to step back and realize that life really isn’t so bad. Let’s take a look at the good things, shall we?
1. Modern medicine. Tuesday morning, as I was headed out to work, I decided to swing by my doctor’s office walk-in clinic to get this cold checked out. I was diagnosed with a sinus infection (and being overweight) and sent on my way with prescriptions to make me feel better (except she didn’t send me on with a secret weight loss pill.) I’m thankful that the meds are working. And that I was able to be seen so quickly.
2. Positive messages on my cough drops. I’ve been using a lot of cough drops and just realized that Hall’s has these interesting messages. Such as “You can do it and you know it.” and “Buckle down and push forth!” And “Be unstoppable.” I don’t know why, but I found them funny.
3. Awesome neighbors and impromptu Snowmageddon dinners. We started doing this several years ago when we were first hit with insane amounts of snow. Snow cripples our city (really, our state) and it’s fun to share these experiences with neighbors. This is a photo from our neighbor’s driveway last night as I was heading back home. Tonight we’re hoping to do breakfast-for-dinner at our place.

I can’t believe how much snow you all got! Glad you all were prepared and not stuck out in it! Feel better soon!

We have about a foot of snow here in MA right now and we are getting more today. And more Saturday. And more Monday……

I absolutely love that you and your neighbors stick together during the snow problems. That must feel so good to have them near you. You could be locked in the house for days without seeing anyone! ha!

At least you remembered to look on the bright side and find the little things. Sometimes that’s easier said than done. And, I feel you on the snow. We’re from California spending our first (and last) winter in the Midwest. I’m over it already, but that doesn’t stop it from coming down. Snow will forever be one of those things that is pretty to look at, in pictures, but bad to live in.

I’m thankful we haven’t lost power even once this winter. I’m also thankful winter is almost over. To be honest, a lot of my thankfulness has to do with snow lol

I am thankful we didn’t lose power during the SnowJam! We got 4 inches here in Georgia, and though it has shut things down quite a bit, we were able to stay toasty and warm (when we weren’t out playing in it).

I’ve never seen those cough drop wrappers! I always love that about dove’s chocolates, so that is fun!

I use halls and have never noticed the messages. I will take notice next time.

What an awkward second diagnosis! 🙂 We are stuck in the snow, too… I’m about out of milk and bread!!

I love snow parties! We’ve gotten to know our neighbors much better with all this bad weather making it impossible to drive anywhere.

I’m thankful that my hubby has the day off tomorrow. Perfect timing for Valentine’s Day!

Love the messages on the cough drops! I always get sinus infections and a round of antibiotics will cure it but doctors never believe me! They always tell me to take mucinex so then I have to go into why that doesn’t work for me. lol

Um, after reading this? I am most thankful that I live in Miami and never, ever have to worry about SNOW! LOL! It looks pretty in pictures but I doubt I’d survive.

Well, that is funny that Hall’s has those sayings on the cough drops. I’ve used them a bazillion times and never even noticed. I have to look at mine now. 🙂

We have been fighting a horrible cold in our neck of the woods. You are right though. Things are not that bad and there are many worse things that could be going on. It’s a beautiful snow filled day in central Illinois

The snow has been incredible this year! I just love the snowmageddon dinners with your neighbors- what a fun way to enjoy the crazy weather!

While I hate the snow.. I have to be thankful that I’m here in the house with a wonderful family and not alone. Family always helps to pass the time while we wait for Spring.
