Our little guy is 10 months old!

He also does not sit still. And we’ve resorted to changing him in the floor, as he has no interest in staying on his changing pad. In this photo, we tried to distract him with a brush. It worked for two seconds.

We can only estimate on his weight this month. He’s around 20 pounds. Luckily, we haven’t had to make any trips to the doctor since his nine month appointment, so we don’t have an exact weight.

Halfway pulling himself up…

The day before Lucas turned 10 months old, he pulled himself to a standing position – and he’s done is several times since then! Once he got there, he was NOT happy. Of course, I took a photo. A week earlier, I pulled out a music table for him to play with (something to entice him to stand.) So the pulling up thing is totally our faults – he had no interest up until we pulled the table out.

He’s a big fan of watermelon and cantaloupe. He also has tried a spinach and pear mixture, which he really liked. We’re lucky that he’s liked all foods so far, except for green beans and avocado.

He’s wearing a size 3 diaper (growing out of those) and mostly 12 month clothes, with the exception of a few 18 month outfits.

He’s still going to bed at 7:30, and has gotten better about sleeping until 5 or 6 the next day. He will then nurse, and go back to sleep until around 8 (sometimes later.) Also, he’s still a breastfeeding champ!

He says “dada” and “mom mom mom” and we think he’s trying to say “bye” and “cat”. He’s so interested in Chloe and just smiles when she’s around.

We just finished our first month of swim lessons, and during the last lesson he went all the way under the water! He loves the pool and going under didn’t scare him – at least the one time he went under. He’s gone in up to his nose several times, and does great. He’s already signed up for a second month of lessons, and I hope we can keep these up for a few months – at least until it’s closer to winter.

I’m still in disbelief that he’s been here for 10 months!
