Who here misses weekly photos? (Raises hand.) I do. I kind of miss them. At least I have the monthly pictures, and I haven’t taken down my baby’s first 11 months of photos that we hung for her birthday. I think they add character to our dining room, and since we only have one photo of her in the living room, it only seems fair to leave her other pictures up for now.

Also, I’m lazy.

Want to know who isn’t lazy? This girl.

She is into EVERYTHING. She loves to open doors – especially cabinets. And especially, especially the TV cabinet that houses our blu ray player, Wii and all the fun stuff. (No worries. A new child lock has been added.)

Bath time is her favorite time after meal time. The girl LOVES to eat. This is a picture when I stopped shoveling food into her mouth. (In my defense, I was trying to snap a photo of her with couscous all over her face. I stopped feeding her for about 2 seconds.)

She sleeps from 7pm until 6:30 or 7am. She eats almost everything you put in front of her. She doesn’t LOVE meat, but she’ll eat a few bites before tossing it to the side. She checks out my plate at dinner, and will often scream for food if I slow down in feeding her (or if she has run out of food on her tray.)

She’s still breastfeeding and we’ll be transitioning to whole milk in a few weeks. (Maybe one serving a day. I’m not making as much as she needs and I don’t want to run out completely before she adjusts to whole milk.)

She still has zero interest in walking. She will sometimes pull herself up if she’s in the bathtub, and she climbs on me, but if you try to get her to put weight on her legs she will pull her legs up. We’re working hard on this one. Her brother didn’t take steps until he was about 14 months old, so I’m not super concerned.

She’s getting more teeth. You can feel her molars starting to push through. And her third bottom tooth is visible, but not broken through yet. But she’s always chewing on her fingers. Always.

I did take her for her one-year photos – almost 2 weeks late. I call this second child syndrome.

She’s the happiest baby when she wakes in the morning. She loves to laugh at her brother, and she lovesssss her daddy. (Me, too, but she does light up for him.)
