15 months {baby update}
I’m a little late in posting, but the photos were shot on time. That’s what matters – right?
This month she worked on pulling herself up and starting to cruise. We’re a tad slow in this department, but I’m not complaining. (Her big brother was a little later in walking too, though he was walking at 15 months.)
She’s still a fan of eating. She can eat two eggs scrambled in the morning, plus a banana, and still want more food. She doesn’t appear to love chicken as much as we eat it, but if it’s cooked a certain way, I can get her to eat the food before she just rejects it. She is ALL IN with fruit. She’s starting to eat more cooked vegetables, which is one thing we did wrong with her brother. He doesn’t eat any cooked vegetables (insert side eye glance here.)
Sleep is hit or miss. Her molars have been such jerks, and while they’re pushing through, they aren’t pushing fast enough. She has about 12 teeth (molars, plus 4 on top and 4 on bottom front.)
She absolutely LOVES her brother! If he’s on the floor or if she’s on his bed, she’ll tackle him and hug him.
And oh, man, she gives hugs. She’s the sweetest.
She says the following words: hi, bye, uh oh, cat, dog, owl, meow, mama, dada, Elmo, her name and a few other words that I’ll have to remember.
She lights up when she sees animals – mainly cats and dogs. She just gets so excited to see them and it’s really sweet. (We need someone close to us to get a small dog she can visit, but I’m not ready to take on a dog. Especially since we have Chloe the solo cat in our house.)
This month we visited the NC Zoo and the beach (and her grandparents house!) She loved the beach! Hoping we can figure out another water adventure before the end of summer.
I know it’s a matter of weeks before she’s running through our house, and I’m not sure I am prepared for that!
