15 months
It’s hard to believe that our little guy turned one three months ago. Now he’s 15-months-old and he’s on the run. Literally. He won’t sit still and is walking/running all over the place.
He says so many words now. He says “do” and “this” when he wants something. He says “shoe” when he sees socks and shoes. He will repeat “eat” if I ask him if he wants to eat. And this past week he started saying “oh no.” That one’s pretty cute, but I’m sure the day will come that I don’t want to hear that expression. He also says “ball” and sometimes he’ll say “all done” or at least sign it. Work working on “up” and “get down.”
He still naps (for the most part) two times a day. Today he took a 3-hour afternoon nap after he refused a morning nap and melted down by 10 a.m. (I blame a crazier and later than normal bedtime last night.)
We’re all a fan of bath time. It’s the one time of day that I can keep him in one place.
He’s definitely grown. I noticed today that his feet are touching the step on his high chair when he eats. And a lot of his pants are fitting (rather than having to be rolled up. Poor boy definitely inherited the short genes from his parents.)
He gets along great with Chloe. Chloe will actually go up to him now and rub against him and he pets her gently, just like we’ve been working on.
The Christmas tree went up this weekend and he loves the lights! There are no decorations on it yet, but he likes to stand in front of it and stare at the lights.
He loves to sort toys and group things together. We’ve cleared a couple of shelves (after a bowl breaking incident) so he has more space to do his work.
He has tried several new foods this month – cranberries, pumpkin pie, apricots, just to name a few. He’s still not a fan of solid vegetables. He’d rather they be pureed. So I’m mostly pureeing his vegetables, and trying to get him used to “chunkier” foods. Oh, and he’s taken a liking in bananas. He will eat those in non-puree form.
I’m not sure of his weight/height right now, but will know a little later this week. He’s still breastfeeding, which I’m so happy that we’ve been able to maintain this for this long.
I’m excited to see what this next month brings!
