16 months
Our little guy is 16-months-old!
He runs everywhere. He loves to dance. And he’s taken a liking to spinning in circles.
His newest words: Elmo, Chloe, nice, pretty, one, two, three, cheese, socks, yes. I know I’m forgetting some of his words, too.
We’re fairly certain he’s working on his two-year molars now. He has 16 of his 20 baby teeth and we’ll be so happy when those last 4 make their appearance.
At his last appointment, he was 22 pounds. He’s probably around 22.5 pounds now.
And this was the month that he slept through the night. On a consistent basis. I know. Shocking.
He is in a size 18-months clothes. He eats so much. He’s still a big fan of chicken, and he likes the hot dogs I buy for him (they’re beef – and all natural). He loves meatloaf, turkey and even pork. He enjoys most vegetables, but mainly in a pureed form. (I’m now working on making more pureed vegetables and putting them into my own pouches, rather than buying the organic ones at the store.)
This was the month he started climbing. He also got his own chair for the living room (it’s toddler-sized, and he’s a huge fan.) He hasn’t tried to climb out of his crib yet, but it’s only a matter of time before we have to lower it again!
This was also the month that we gave in and let him watch some of his Baby Genius dvds. He doesn’t get to watch them often, but we have given in. Most times, he requests to hear the cds (which are the same songs that are on the dvds.) And by request, I mean he points at the iPod dock/cd player and says “this!”
