18 miles

I ran 18 miles today, and am now realizing why you taper (even while training to get to 18 or 20 miles.) I’ve been increasing my mileage for a few weeks now, and next week was my scheduled 18-miler. Since I’m going to be in Philadelphia, I didn’t think I could run that far.

And now I’m paying for it. My leg is twitching, and I’m having some serious pain in my Achilles tendon. Ouch.

Hopefully it’ll be better by tomorrow…
