2013 goals/resolutions – how did I do?

Last year, I posted my five goals for 2013. It’s time to update on how I did.

Work on not getting frustrated. Sometimes I find myself getting short with people (even my son who can be QUITE a handful for a wiggly little toddler.)
This has actually gotten better! Maybe it’s all the time I had off?

werun Complete my fifth full marathon. And run up to two half marathons.
Done (and done and done.) I ran the Asheville Marathon at Biltmore in March (hated it. But I did it.) And I ran the DC half marathon in April. I then completed the Downhill at Dawn half marathon in June – and earned myself a HUGE PR!

Finally clean the garage. For real.
This is a work in progress. I’ve cleared out so much, but we also have so much baby stuff that is now taking over. I hate to get rid of it, just in case we decide there will be a second McLittle, so now I’m on a quest to organize it in a better fashion.

Find peace, and time, for myself. Time doing what I want to do and not constantly rushing around.
Sadly, this did not work out either. I spent the past 3 months rushing around and always looking for my next career. I should have worried a little less and spent some time doing what I really loved (crafty things, especially.) I’m adding this to next year’s goals.

Say ā€œnoā€ more often. I find myself agreeing to too many things.
I accomplished this! While it may not seem like it this month, I did learn to say “no” to a few things and I felt amazing doing it.

Do you make resolutions? Have you figured out your resolutions or goals for 2014?
