It’s that time of year again. Review time. Once again, I’m linking up with Emmy and reviewing my year in three-month increments. It’s so much more manageable this way!

January

We had an unusually warm winter. We spent time in January outside on the swing. (My boy was so little!)

review_swinging I considered winter gardening. It did not lead to much.

I was so organized when it came to meal planning and meal prep.

Oh, and my month ended with a bang and a car accident. No bueno.

February

I was training for my marathon, and I shot some of my favorite running view photos that month.

Valentine’s Day happened. I took my boy to the mall and had cards made and they were super adorable.

review_valentine We held our Oscars party!

March

My little guy was sick and I posted a lot about him. Poor boy. And stupid virus. Oh, and we caught the kiddo playing with TWO laptops at once. Smart kid.

I ran the Asheville Marathon at Biltmore Estate. It was awful.

I began training for the DC half marathon (FUN!!!)

It snowed!

And when we were in Charlotte for a weekend, we were evacuated early one morning. I posted about my 60 seconds.

It was an eventful, not-so-fun start to 2013. The next three months were better. So be sure to check back next week for more fun updates.

  1. Sorry it was a rough start to the year. It seems like it was for a lot of people with lots of sicknesses. That is one thing I love about these recaps though as then you can look back and realized while it sucked at the time it did get better too. Love the two laptop picture.

Thanks so much for linking up!

  2. I wish I could dream of running a marathon, but the idea makes me cringe! I am determined to walk more this year to get myself a little closer to it though. Winter gardening? I can’t keep things alive in the spring or summer much less the winter. hah
Great to have you linking up with us!

  3. Oh, I’ve always wanted to have an Oscars party! The cookies are awesome! I’m glad to hear that you got the rough part of the year over with at the beginning and that the following months got better. Happy to have found your blog through the link-up.
