2014 Year in Review: October-December #2014RE
It’s my last 2014 review! (At least of my year.) I’m linking up with the Review Extravaganza to take a look at the year I had. The last 3 months had plenty of downs and a few ups. We’re ending the year on a high note!
October
Ahhhh….Homecoming. I survived. Barely.
My family visited and I was able to get a couple days off with them.
The corn maze was a destination of ours….four times.
I was sick most of October.
We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary.
I ran the Thomas Wolfe 8k with Carol – but never blogged about it.
We had more family visit, and this time we drove up to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
I was finally diagnosed with bronchitis. I had to cancel my half marathon plans. Huge sad face.
November
The Christmas tree arrived at Biltmore and I was able to be a part of reporting the excitement. (Also, my husband had Lasik and that’s pretty huge.)
I finally started to feel well….once I realized that I was prescribed an allergy medication last spring that I had forgotten about.
I traveled for work and had a pretty good trip. It was my last work trip for the year and I was so glad to have it behind me.
I created my boy’s reading corner.
We attended the Asheville Holiday Parade. And then we celebrated Thanksgiving.
December
I survived NaBloPoMo and lived to blog about it.
Christmas music was kind of my thing. I love holiday music….
I planned a reception for graduation that went really well. It was a good way to end the semester.
I had a lot of fun coming up with 25 things to make with washi tape.
I made a perfect apple pie (two of them, actually.)
WINTER BREAK! And the Winter Lights exhibit at the NC Arboretum.
We baked a LOT of cookies! We also made some fun ornaments.

How was your 2014? Are you ready for 2015?
Lets see–my 2014 was relatively uneventful which is a good thing! I managed to read about 185 books (at least according to Goodreads-I think I read a bit more then that!). Now that I am semi retired I have the time to actually do what I love–READ. As for 2015–I will turn 65 in September-where have the years gone?
You guys have kept so busy this past year I am looking forward to hearing about your adventures in 2015!

2014 had its ups and downs for sure. I am looking forward to 2015 in the hopes it will be a good year.
