I really love these posts. They force me to look back on months from the current year and I remember SO MANY good things! Like my boy was still a baby. Or at least more toddler-like. And that I ran several races during the spring (as opposed to this fall when I didn’t run one I had signed up for. A major one.) It’s been a good year.
(Also, I’m linking up with the Review Extravaganza. Good stuff, blog friends!)
I posted my son’s 31 month post. He has grown so much this year! (Also, I need to bring those posts back – mostly for myself.)
Bari and her family visited! Bari and I ran the Greenway Challenge 10k. They only misdirected us a little.
In April, I visited Indianapolis for a work conference. It was my first visit to this city and I had a blast the first afternoon getting to know downtown Indy via running.
I also ran the Fiddlin’ 5k – a race that starts and ends on the campus I work.
May
May brought along my first graduation as alumni director. It was stressful, fun, exciting, exhausting….and everything I thought it would be. Also, I had a rain plan (thankfully.) I’ve learned this year I always have to have a decent rain plan, because I’m probably going to use it.
I posted a rare 4-generation photo of my grandma, mom, myself and son in honor of Mother’s Day.
Carol and I ran the Biltmore 15k.
I took the boy to Biltmore for part of a day. Good times were had by all.
And my 10 Things to Smile About post. I had some good ones in May.
Oh, this posted in June, but I attended Blogging Concentrated. I’m still implementing things I learned that day!
June
I ran my only half marathon of the year. Downhill at Dawn. I loved it so much.
We took our first camping trip! It was an overnight trip not far from Asheville, for Father’s Day weekend.
We also visited the NC Zoo!
I also completed one of my projects of the year – a patriotic wreath!
One of my first VoxBoxes arrived. I love these boxes.
At one point, my husband and I were both in Atlanta for work trips. We met up Friday night for a date night.
This gives me so much excitement about 2015. And I’m only halfway through reviewing 2014! Also, I remembered I did a bucket list for the summer, but I didn’t do one for the winter….I’m wondering if I should (and just don’t make it holiday-centric.)
Do you create goals/bucket lists for your years?
Cherish that 4 generation photo.. I love that so much. I love the one of me, mom and grandmother at my wedding.
You have been super busy! I love the 4 generation photo. I have nothing like that at all but would love it.
I wish I could run do to illness I can’t run, I admire how dedicated you are to running. I also love the pictures.
You’re always keeping busy! I love the 4 generation photo – that is a great idea.
It’s been an amazing year for you and your family! I’m almost sad to let this year go!!
It’s so amazing to be able to look back and see where we have been and what we have done over the last year. These pics are amazing and I love the 4 generation one because it is something that I want to do as soon as the twins come home.
Way to go on the 10K! Love the 4 generations picture and the smore picture!
Love these pics π I do monthly reviews, but I haven’t done a yearly one! Maybe I should!
What fun this year! I hope you get to do some more races this year!
It looks like a great year you had! Here’s to an even better 2015 π
I love the four generation photo! It’s pictures like that I cherish, now everyone is grown…
You really gave 2015 a glimpse of what it has to top! So happy about your 2014 full of smiles
It’s so nice to reflect on the last year and see all of the memories and milestones. I hope the next year is great too.
I hope to attend Blogging Concentrated next year. What a great year!
A bucket list for winter would be very interesting, especially if you live in a cold weather state. You might have to get very creative on things you want to do.
This is a great idea to get yearly goals for yourself. I will have to think about doing this for 2015.
Oh, I love that 4 generation photo. That is a keeper, for sure. Can’t wait to read about the rest of the year and follow you into the new year!
The 4 Gen. Photo is great! I love keeping my bucket list and Checking things off as I go. Gives me great goals to reach!
I am finally doing things on my list. Slowly but surely lol. Looks like a lot accomplished for you!
It’s awesome that you learned things at the conference you’re still using today. Your pictures here are awesome. π
Love the 4 generation photo. I need to work on those with my family like NOW :). And it’s always fun to keep those posts going about the kiddos if nothing else than to help you remember!
It looks like you had a great year! After Christmas, I look forward to taking some time to reflect.
It’s amazing all that happens in a year isn’t it?! I am getting excited to close up my posts and do a few yr in review posts as well. 2014 way one for the books!
I should do a post like this! I love looking back on my year. Your little boy is super cute!
i didn’t realize you’ve been at your “new” job the majority of this year!
I’ve been here since last December 2! π
What an awesome year! Looks like you had a great year.
Way to go on all of the runs! Sounds like you had a wonderful few months. I love getting to be able to capture those 4 generation photos.
You ran so many races these months! I remember the camping trip, so fun. How awesome to have a four generation picture! Lucas is my only child who ever got to meet one of his great grandparents, she passed away when he was about 7 months old and was the last of the great grandparents.
