It’s hard to believe that we’re already looking back on 2014. It’s been a busy, fun, stressful, hectic year for my family. I’ve enjoyed 2014 (so much more than 2013), but I’m ready to see what 2015 brings us.
Let’s check out what the beginning of 2014 brought me. (Lots of happy times, I’m sure.)
We participated in #eatinmonth. Not sure if we’ll do that in January, but it isn’t a bad idea. I may have a different idea for our January meal planning, though. Just to try. (My husband and I will get paid mid-December – and then not again until January 30. We really have to make sure we don’t splurge TOO much!)
My poor boy started the new year off with a cold. We’re constantly fighting colds.
I decided to do a #12Projects12Months project. I totally did it too. I actually did more than 12 projects this year!
I took a look at planning an Oscars party. I need to find my stuff and start planning again!
We had a snow day! (I am kind of hoping for a snow day soon so the boy will be happy.)
A doctor implied I was fat. I’m still the same weight. Maybe she’s onto something. Also, I think I’ve been sick all year between colds and bronchitis.
There was more snow.
I ran the Frostbite 10k with Carol.
And we had a blast one weekend wandering around downtown in unseasonably warm temperatures.
I was still pushing out completed projects.
There was some outside time. It’s funny because I can only remember snow from last winter, but there was a good amount of warm weather too.
I made MHU cookies for a work potluck lunch. They were so popular that I’ve made them several more times (for graduation and alumni events.)
I made a St. Patrick’s Day-themed wreath. Sadly, I have to put it back together because my son got hold of the bow.
I did Weight Watchers Simple Start program for two weeks. I blogged the first week, and this is surprisingly a highly pinned post.
And I’m linking up with the Review Extravaganza this year. (You should, too.)
Do you go back and see what you did at the beginning of the year? What surprises you most about what you do or don’t remember from those months? (Honestly, I am surprised by the warm days!)
