24 weeks

What a week it’s been.

The baby is now 24 weeks old. He had a doctor visit this week and he weighed 16 pounds, 11 ounces. He has had nothing but breastmilk in his short 24 weeks.

Until today. Today he tried cereal for the first time. And he loved it. (But I expected nothing less. The kid loves his food.) I have video, but no photos of him trying cereal for the first time. I was on my own, and was only able to set up the video camera.

We’re having a hard time at night. He has been waking up every hour to every two hours. Sometimes eating, most times not. He doesn’t want the pacifier. Last night I realized that he was a little congested, making it hard to sleep and suck on the pacifier. So we’ve been trying to help him as much as possible (with the humidifier, suctioning his nose, etc.). Just a rough week.

This weekend, my dad, stepmom and grandma are traveling up here. It’ll be my grandma’s first time meeting Lucas, so hopefully we’ll all be healthy!
