29 months
Another month down. And time continues to fly by.
The popular phrase of choice this month is “how about….?” It’s usually something like, “how about JUICE?” (which we rarely give him) and if we offer him water, he says, “how about milk?” It’s kind of his way of saying “no” without saying “no.” And it really is funny.
We had snow this month! And he was finally not sick, we weren’t traveling and we could go out and play in it for a few minutes. He loves snow. I love seeing him happy, so it was a win-win for all of us.
And while I say he was finally not sick, he ended December with a nasty cold-turned-ear infection. He’s beginning February with a cold (though I’m hoping we can beat it before it develops into an ear infection.) ***Note as of this posting, he does have another ear infection. Took him to the doctor this morning. Fabulous.
We’ve dealt with a few behavior issues. I don’t know if it’s terrible twos or if it’s something more. So we (as the parents) are much more hands-on in the evenings. There’s even less technology in our hands (and the tv is generally turned off) so he has our undivided attention. He loves attention.
And books. Oh how he loves books.
Last doctor’s appointment, he weighed around 27.5 pounds. And he’s getting taller. He had grown about an inch in two months. Can you say “growth spurt”?
He loves Chloe. I overheard him telling Chloe the other day, “Hey! I need hug! Now, kiss!” He’s very demanding.
He’s such a funny kid. I don’t know if 2 is my favorite age (it’s SO hard), but I don’t hate it.
