Day 7 – a scent
It’s no secret that I’m a fan of sweets, and baked goods. Oh baked goods. And if you know me in real life, then you know that I once worked (part-time) at Yankee Candle. I loved working there. So. many. great. scents.
So it really shouldn’t be a surprise that I have a huge collection of candles. Huge. As in there are boxes of candles in our garage that haven’t been touched because we’re still burning through the second or third box of candles since we moved to our house. We have candles in almost every room.
Food/spice scents in the living and dining rooms, fruit scents in the bedrooms, clean scents in the bathroom. I love them all. I can’t even choose a favorite because it changes with each season. (We’re currently burning a “candy corn” candle. This winter we’ll burn Hazelnut Coffee and Christmas Cookie. But at different times.) All these candles…no wonder I’m hungry most of the time.
And if I couldn’t pick a scent in a jar, I’d have to say my favorite scent is that of a baby fresh out of a bath and all powdered up. There isn’t a much better smell than baby powder.
