30 Days of Thanks – day 8

Day 8 – again, going off on my own

Today I’m thankful for my family and their willingness to help us out whenever needed. I asked my grandma if she could watch Lucas two days in December, and not only is she taking him for two days in December, she’s taking him almost the entire following week! This buys us more time before having to place him with a babysitter or daycare. We have someone lined up to care for him, but I really want to hold out on sending him somewhere for as long as possible. (There’s the whole germ thing, and deep down I’d like to save a little more money, if possible.)

So when I return to work, my mom and husband will be able to care for Lucas. My in-laws are watching him for a week, and then my grandma and mom will split the next week. The following week will be my grandma and the week after that I’m already scheduled for vacation, followed by my husband being home. Lucas will be cared for by family members until January!
