Day 4 – a favorite snack
One of my favorite snacks is banana bread. We received a Kitchenaid mixer for our wedding (thanks, grandma!) and for about two years, the only thing I made with it was banana bread. I’ve since moved on to other items, such as icing. But I mainly use that mixer for banana bread. I use a family recipe and a loaf lasts about two days in our house. (Speaking of….we have some in the freezer. I just break that out this week.)

Day 5 – a place
We went to the Bahamas for our honeymoon and it’s one of my favorite places. In fact, we just mentioned this weekend how we should go back (it’s about an hour flight from Charlotte. It was super easy to get there. If only we could find our passports…)

It was a fantastic, relaxing week. I was torn away from technology and if I have to be without my cell phone or computer, I’d like to be on the beach in the Bahamas.

Day 6 – going off on my own…
Today I’m thankful for my sometimes-fussy baby. I have a friend who had to say goodbye to her baby girl at 19 days old. While I may sometimes complain about Lucas being fussy or not sleeping, at least I can make those complaints. Because he’s here, and he’s healthy. That’s a lot.
