30 months
We’ve reached the 2-and-a-half year mark!
He has mastered the art of the fake smile.
Lucas has grown another half inch. I think we’re almost on a monthly schedule for measure his height. He wore a shirt two weekends ago that was way too large two months ago. And now he’s going to outgrow it in the arm length. It’s amazing how quickly he’s growing.
While he can throw the tantrums to end all tantrums, he’s also started adding “please” and “thank you” back into his vocabulary.
He has a couple of friends his age, and it’s SO fun to watch him with his friends. He can share when he really wants to and he enjoys running around with friends (from them, after them, he likes running.)
He had another ear infection this month. That’s two ear infections in a month (he had one in January, too.) We thought he might have a third one, but I think we managed to fight it off the homeopathic way.
His favorite shows are Sesame Street, Dinosaur Train and Super Why. We found the beginnings of a Dinosaur Train (the train toy) at a consignment sale a week ago and he has loved playing with it. He really loves dinosaurs right now.
He can count to 20. He can also count backwards from about 10. He has started putting letters and words together such as “m is for mommy! d is for daddy! c is for cookie!” It’s fun to watch him learn!
Lucas tried chocolate milk for the first time. He loved it. (This will NOT be an every day occurrence.)
He loves wearing his rain boots. And he’s been a huge fan of taking his pajamas off. We’ve started putting him back in a sleep sack (with feet so he can walk) but I have to put it on him backwards. He really does love being naked.
He can have actual conversations with us and it’s a blast. He learns so much every day and he repeats EVERYTHING.
