31 Days to a Healthier Me
If you follow the Nester, then you’re probably familiar with her 31 Days challenge. I’ve taken part in this challenge in the past. You select a topic and write about that topic/theme for 31 days. I had been thinking about this for several days. What do I want to improve in my life? What could I write about 31 times and still be somewhat interesting?
I want to improve my overall health. Not just my physical health (though, I need some work in that department.) I need to work on my mental health as well.
So for the next 31 days (really, 30 by the time you read this), I’m working towards creating new habits.
I won’t be writing about health-topics for 31 days. In my quest for better mental health, I’m going to strive for being positive in all posts. Doing things that I want to do. (See last night’s post about our trip to the orchard, for instance. What a fun morning we had!) I want to work on my hands-free journey that I started this summer.
Yesterday morning, I worked out for 20 minutes before work. It was *just* 20 minutes, but I really want to make a habit of waking up earlier to work out before work. Maybe I can achieve that goal by the end of October.
So here’s to 31 days to a healthier me.
What would you like to work on for 31 days?
After looking through several blogs on Nester’s site to see what people are doing, i had the thought of at least following someone on their journey, but their journey had to be real and doable and you tick both those boxes for me and so i wish you well on your journey.
For myself i suffer from Fibromyalgia, which causes both physical and mental health issues for me and is something that few people even try to understand and i will continue to unravel its mysteries to my own understanding.
Good luck.
Thanks for stopping by, Beverley, and for following along. I hope to not bore you too much. š I’m definitely not going for a goal of “lose 20 pounds in 31 days” but I hope to be much more emotionally and physically prepared by the end of the month – especially to head into the next “season” of food and parties.
I need to give myself more screen free time in the evenings.
What a great challenge.
“just” 20 minutes is better than nothing. as they say what you can, when you can.
