I know I just updated with 30 months, but I’m more on top of things this time. Go figure. We’ve been busy!

Lately, Lucas has been saying, “I not scared of (fill in the blank).” Most times it’s something he could have possibly been scared of. Dinosaurs, the dark, Chloe. He likes to say “I not scared anymore!” It’s cute, and I feel we’re entering a new stage.

We’re still in the bartering stage. I’ll tell him he can have 3 books in his bed and he says, “how about 10?” or at least one more. Sometimes it’s funny. At bedtime, it gets to be a bit much.

We’re also in the stage of not wanting to go to daycare. He says, “I not go to (caregiver’s name)!” and I’m not sure why he’s in this stage. If he sees my coat or my sunglasses on my head, he’ll tell me to take my jacket off or my sunglasses off my head. Once he gets to daycare, he’s fine.

He’s very into mommy. VERY. He gets upset if I don’t take him to daycare some days – and those days are few and far between.

Lucas is an extremely picky eater. I offer him everything. If he wants something off my plate, I’ll give it to him. It’s so tough.

He has definitely gotten taller, even in the past couple of weeks. His 2T pants are starting to be a bit short on him. It’ll be interesting to see how his shorts fit this spring (well, this week, as he’s headed to his grandparents with daddy and it’s much warmer there.) He’s so skinny (it’s all the running he loves to do) and getting long.

My dad visited this past month for a week. And now Lucas is off for a few days with his other grandparents. He’s a lucky boy (and he loves all of his grandparents!)

He loves dinosaurs, cars, trains, Sesame Street (which he calls “Ses Street”) and Super Why. Also, he loves his guitar. Check out this (very short) video:

Potty training is still a work in progress. He sits on the potty, but that’s about as much progress as I’ve gotten out of him. Daycare is also working with him. One day, it’ll happen.
