And here we are. Four weeks from due date and I can barely stay awake. I think we photos of Chloe sleeping on me at this point – and it was late afternoon, early evening…back when I had time to nap.

How far along am I: 36 Weeks.

Size of baby: Going with the last time I was 36 weeks pregnant, this baby should weigh close to 6 pounds. My doctor did say this week, “you’re going to have another big baby.” (My first one was 8 pounds, 7 ounces.)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I’ve seen the number and it isn’t amazing.

Clothes: The maternity shirts I bought at Target are getting great rotation. The Old Navy workout shorts are awesome. Sadly, I can’t wear them to work.

Gender: A girl!

Movement: There are days she’s moving in full force, and other days (usually the day after I push myself too hard) when the movements slow down a bit.

Sleep: If I go to bed early, I’m generally ok. I wake around 4:30 a.m. and then I’m usually up before 7 – even if given the chance to sleep in.

What I miss: Sleeping, eating regularly, Not being worn down all the time.

Cravings: There hasn’t been much that I’ve craved recently.

Symptoms: I have to take Pepcid before bed or I’ll get sick. I have occasional random swelling, but if I lay down, it generally goes away fairly quickly.

Best moment this week: My office threw a baby shower and our car seat arrived! The baby can ride home in our car now.

I’m honestly good with however long she stays put. My husband is traveling next weekend, and I definitely want to get that behind us before welcoming a baby. At some point, I’d love to see my blood pressure come back down to normal. That’s getting a little annoying. I also think we’re just ready to meet this new person!
