It’s been kind of fun looking back on the weekly updates from the last pregnancy. Last time, I was wondering if we would make it to 40 weeks. (We made it to 41! My kid is an overachiever!) I was also dealing with higher than normal blood pressure at this point in the pregnancy. It’s amazing what I can and can’t remember without looking back at those posts.

How far along am I: 39 Weeks.

Size of baby: If we go by last pregnancy, the average baby is around 7 pounds. The doctor still says this baby is measuring big.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Still not going there!

Clothes: My ProCompression socks are the best and I’m wearing them at least half of the day each day. I tend to wear them when I know I’m going to be walking around the most. My feet haven’t been as swollen, which is awesome. I’m also so happy that I will soon be losing weight. I’m running out of maternity clothes that fit.

Gender: It’s a girl!

Movement: She still moves a lot. And she’s still very high. She’s in no position to come out at the moment.

Sleep: I slept longer than 7 hours on Monday night. I don’t know how that happened. Most nights, I sleep less than 6 hours and it’s very restless.

What I miss: Sleeping without pain.

Cravings: I was craving salad this week. And water. Grapefruit juice has been high on my cravings list with the ice water.

Symptoms: My right arm gets numb in the mornings, but my left hand is usually the one numb later in the day.

Best moment this week: I took my son to the indoor pool at our gym and it reminded me that I wasn’t going to be pregnant forever, I will get to exercise again, and water is amazing. I was weightless in the pool and it was the best feeling ever. Also, L is getting excited and this week he wanted to feel the baby move. Normally it freaks him out a little.

39weeks
(I’ve worn a lot of black and navy shirts this pregnancy. Everything looks the same. It’s a little odd.)

For the first time in weeks (months, maybe?) my blood pressure wasn’t anywhere near high at my appointment! I’ve been working from home in the afternoons, and I think that’s helping a lot. I set up the baby’s travel-sized Pack & Play for her to sleep in (it’s awesome, smaller than an average pack and play, and it was so simple to set up.) We basically have all that we need. It’s a good feeling.
