4 months

This is a few days late, but I wanted to wait until we had real stats to post.

Lucas is four months old! He had his four-month check-up today. He now weighs 15 pounds, 4 ounces and is 24 3/4 inches long. He’s right at 50th percentile for his weight, and just below average for his length. (His parents are both short, so there’s a lot of wishful thinking that he’ll be tall – or at least average height – when he gets older.)

He had to get more shots today, and we got through them with just a little bit of crying. He’s pretty sad tonight, and sleeping a lot.

He rolled over (from back to stomach) on his own last Thursday! Of course, he hasn’t done it again. He’s started really laughing this past week, as well. He’s ticklish sometimes and getting more ticklish by the day. It’s a lot of fun!

He started real day care today – one without family members watching over him. I’m a nervous wreck, but trying not to be. The lady that watches him is just 3 houses away, so it’s very convenient. He’s the only baby, and today he was the only child at the day care. I’m sure he’ll be spoiled. Of course, they had him so active today, that I’m not sure if he’s tired from the shots or from day care!

In other baby news, he’s still in a size 2 diaper and 3-6 month clothes (though we’ve already had to transition some of his clothes out because they’re too small!) I suspect he’ll be moving into 6-9 month clothes well before he turns 6 months.
