42 weeks {baby update}
It just sounds so crazy that I’m brainstorming birthday party plans for a baby who will be turning 1 in about 10 weeks. How did this happen?
This week, she started nodding her head “yes.” She still prefers “no” – and smiling when she shakes her head “no.” We’re working more and more with signs. She can sign “milk” and is starting to understand “more.” I’m hoping we’ll get “eat” down soon.
Also this week, her brother taught her to pant like a dog which is hilarious and cute. He’s been trying to get her to say “Maggie” which is completely random. (I know one Maggie, and she doesn’t live near us anymore. She used to babysit Lucas forever ago.)
She’s getting on her knees more – especially in her crib. Learning to crawl is FUN at 2 am!
She’s also starting to throw her hands up when you say “so big!” to her. I’m telling you. It’s super cute.
Lucas loves teaching her new things. I’ve heard him talking to her when we’re in other rooms and he’s always trying to show her stuff, or he tells me that she just said (insert a crazy word that isn’t actually a word.) He has handled being a big brother so well.
How is she almost a year??? Time flies!
What a cutie!
It is CRAZY. Also, we still need to get together. Sometime soon before she’s off and walking and heading to school. š
