49 weeks {baby update}
This was another tough week as we rounded out 3 weeks of sickness. I think we’re on the upswing, but we had a lot of sleepless nights this past week. (And as we’re heading into this week she’s actually acting like her normal, happy, healthy self.)
She can nod her head “yes” and she’s definitely getting more vocal.
I know I mentioned this last week, but I LOVE that she will follow me into a room. It makes life just a tiny bit easier. What isn’t easy is how she wants to be held – especially in the evening when it’s time to cook. The witching hour is real.
She’s been chewing on one of her fingers, on the side of her mouth. So I can’t tell if her next set of bottom teeth are coming in or if molars are going to make an appearance. We had a few days of her not wanting to eat as much, but I think that was from not feeling well (from the cold.) She generally has a pretty big appetite – and she wants to eat on her own. She’s growing out of wanting you to feed her.
She’s been transitioning into 12 month clothes over the past couple of weeks. And the highlight of her evening is bathtime. When all else fails, stick her in the tub with a washcloth. She loves it. She has even started getting on her belly and trying to crawl around the tub. (I only put about two or three inches of water in the tub.) We’ll be checking out the pools at our gym very soon!
She still loves to be worn (and I’ll wear her as often as I can), and she enjoys our walks. Thankfully the weather has been pretty great, so we can get out more.
