Tomorrow I’m hosting a Disney Kids Preschool Play Date. This was the first time I have been selected to host a Disney Kids party and my boy and I are pretty excited! We’ve invited several of his friends, and have a few activities planned (plus all things Mickey Mouse are exploding in the house.) Oh, and this play date will be after my boy and I spend the morning at an Earth Day event for McDonald’s and an area community garden. More about THAT next week!

We held a small birthday party for our baby girl last weekend, and I really need to share a few photos from the day! I made a birthday bib (so much easier – and useful – than appliqueing a bodysuit!) The whole event was fairly low-key and it was a lot of fun.

I think I’m battling allergies right now. My throat started hurting a few days ago, and by that night my head was super congested. I have a cough now, but otherwise I’m fine. Pollen counts are high, and only climbing. I don’t mind the rain at this point. Bring it on, if it means I can breathe again. The flowers are pretty, but I need to be able to breathe!

On Easter, I noticed my boy in the living room (finishing his pizza) and talking to Chloe. I tried to get a good picture of her, but at one point she had her head hanging over and looked like she was really listening to him. He was just telling her stories. This was also after a fairly epic meltdown since he was so hungry and church ran really long that day. It was the sweetest moment.

I started my garden this week! At least one of the boxes has been weeded and looks decent enough to plant seeds. I’ve only started lettuce and spinach, but I’m hoping they’ll come up soon and I can stop buying so much lettuce (and it going bad before we can use it all.) You can see what a mess I have to deal with behind the first box. Oy.

How was your week? Are you doing anything to celebrate Earth Day?
