One more week. And not a week too soon when it comes to the weekly photos (he hates sitting still for the pictures, and would rather knock the blocks down, which is why they aren’t pictured here.)
Our child is quite the chatterbox. He talks from the moment he wakes up and even talks himself to sleep at night. He loves saying “cat” when he sees Chloe and he says “dog” when we’re out in the neighborhood and sees my mom’s dog (Sophie) or any of the neighbors’ dogs. (For a day, he was a little confused and kept saying cat when he saw Sophie.)
He tried eggs this weekend and loves them. This is a great thing since I won’t eat eggs (I haven’t since I was 3 and decided I wasn’t a fan.) I don’t want him to be picky like me. I even made him eggs for breakfast this morning – quite a big step for me. I may even try them again one day. Maybe.
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this, but he LOVES chicken. I gave it to him a few weeks ago, and now I try to make sure we’re having chicken a few times a week so we’ll have some for him. I make sure he has some without spices and he just devours it. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s chicken, or it’s because he loves feeding himself.
He occasionally stands on his own, but only briefly. It’s as if he forgets that he still has to hold onto things because he isn’t quite balanced when he’s on his feet.
(This photo was taken yesterday when he first woke up. I was changing him out of his pjs and he looked so cute, I grabbed the camera.)
His one year photos have been scheduled, the birthday party plans are in the works and we have one more week before he turns the big ONE!
Oh my!!! He has gotten sooo big!! Time sure flies by! What a cutie!
