52 weeks {baby update}
One. more. day. until this girl is a whole year old. And this week she decided to be difficult for her photos.
We had her birthday party this past weekend and she absolutely loved people singing to her. She did not love her cake. (It’s ok. We’re going to try a birthday donut tomorrow instead.)
She had her first Easter and she ate all types of food at Easter dinner. Ham, cooked carrots, plus baby food. Girl was in heaven. (We tried cheese a week ago and she’s just not a fan yet. We’ll keep trying.)
She is content to take in all the action around her, and loves to explore. She would rather be held than pull herself up on things. She can sit herself up, but again…she’d rather be held.
She napped like a champion this weekend, and sleep has been fantastic (though I’m sure I’ve screwed that up for tonight just by mentioning it.) Her brother had the best time helping her with presents over the weekend and then “trying them out.”
She likes being outside. Sit her in the grass, and she’s content. We went to a playground and she likes playing in the sand next to the sandbox. While her brother played with a basketball, she was happy to watch him. She’s very observant and happy.
She truly completes our family.
