We’re two days shy of having a one-year-old on our hands.
And 52 weeks ago, I was hanging out in the hospital room. I guess I shouldn’t really describe it as hanging out ,as it was not so much fun (starting around 11:30 or 12 that day.) The end result has been pretty fun, though.
For the past week, Lucas has been saying something that sounds like “nigh nigh nigh nigh” and it turns out he’s been trying to say “night night” (thanks, babysitter!) Tonight, I put him in his crib, told him I loved him and “night night”. He said “nigh, nigh” back and a few minutes later I went back into his room to figure out just what on earth he was doing. He was bouncing up and down in his crib yelling “nigh! nigh!” Of course.
Have I mentioned that he has one molar, with a second just hanging back waiting to break through? The past two weeks have been FUN at night! It’s like we’re back to week one!
He cruises furniture with one hand on the table or couch. Today he received his first birthday card from a friend (old co-worker.) I was actually really surprised she remembered his birthday! He had a great time tossing the card around this evening!
(The little guy’s shirt he’s wearing here was made by Mendie. She has a brand new Etsy shop – and you can get free shipping in September with code BLOGSEPT12. Be sure to check her shop out – she’ll be adding more items very, very soon!)
