A few weeks ago, I started to blog about having a really great day. And then that day ended with my car being hit. Then I ran into problem after problem (and we’re still dealing with insurance problems. The other person’s insurance company believes I’m 100% at fault for the accident, simply by being at the scene. Apparently it’s perfectly ok if you hit someone and flee.)
Anyway. I’ve felt that I’d jinx myself by saying it’s been a good day, or even a good week, but this week really did turn into a good week.
I got my car back on Thursday and I felt like the weight of the world was lifted from my shoulders. There are so many worse problems I could have been dealing with, but I really don’t like depending on everyone around me every. single. day.
My running has gone fairly well this week. I’m in taper mode at this point, and the marathon is just two weeks away. I’m looking forward to just getting it over with. (That sounds awful. I just don’t feel 100% prepared for the race.)
My dad and stepmom are going to be visiting this next week, and I’m hoping I can get a day off to do something fun with them. We’re also planning an Oscars get-together next weekend.
I’m actually looking forward to cleaning this weekend. I’m feeling motivated to clean and organize and hang several canvas photos I have had for weeks.
It’s been a good week. I think it’s going to be a good weekend.
