Five things Friday: a slight #NaBloPoMo fail and week in review
I had good intentions of blogging so much this month – and then this week threw me for a loop. I think I need a do-over of National Blog Posting Month.
So let’s look at the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to this week. Obviously, the leaves on campus are not ugly.
First, my daughter woke up Sunday night sick. We spent a couple of hours in the middle of the night trying to figure out what was wrong, cleaning up and then working to get her back to bed. My husband took Monday off (thankfully he had a slow week!)
Then our son brought home his report card on Tuesday, and first grade isn’t all its cracked up to be. A few emails and one teacher meeting later, I think we’re back on the right track. (Parents, we owe it to our kids to advocate for them. If you know something is up, don’t be afraid to question it!)
Not to sound completely down in this post, but our Christmas cards arrived and I cannot WAIT to mail them out! Is next week too soon to start mailing holiday cards? I will have a post on them soon, and I want them mailed before I debut them on the site.
I’ve recommitted (or maybe I’ve re-re-committed?) to working out, and this week I’ve been to the gym that we actually pay for. It’s not the easiest thing for me to keep up when I work so far from home – and it’s way easier to eat lunch out or just not take a lunch hour. But exercise is my jam!
And so we’re at Friday. Friday night. I am battling a cold, and my body aches from sleeping on the couch last night. (My husband ended up being super sick, which we think was food poisoning, but in order not to chance it, I slept on the couch and sanitized the whole house.) I have to work tomorrow (I am SO incredibly grateful this is our last football game!) and I can’t wait to just get home and rest! We were supposed to attend a Friendsgiving dinner on Sunday and I just don’t see how it’s going to happen.
Great lots of changes in weather
i wouldllike to get back in to the fitness like i was a lot doing
