all booked up

We leave for Philadelphia in less than three weeks. Actually, in three weeks we’ll be preparing to leave for Lake Waccamaw, for Christmas. But Philly is first, and I finally have our hotels booked.

Can you believe I left booking the hotels until the last minute? We are staying in three different hotels over three nights. The first night, we’ll be staying in Old City (the historic section of Philadelphia – walking distance to the Liberty Bell and other cool sites.) The second, we’re heading to Coatesville, or rather Exton, Pa. as hotels.com liked to tell me. The wedding is that Saturday and after the wedding we’re staying in yet another hotel, but this time right next to the airport. We fly home at 6:45 a.m. Eek.

I’m most excited about seeing the sites. I do love playing tourist, and we’ll have several hours to do just that. I then have to figure out the train system and get us to Exton in time to check into our hotel and make it to the rehearsal dinner. It all sounds a little stressful when you think about it, but I’m ready for an adventure.

Oh yeah, and have I mentioned that this weekend will be the only weekend we’re home for the rest of the month? The following weekend is my marathon (you can still donate! I’m $47 from my goal!) and then we’ll be in Philadelphia, and then it’s Christmas.

Where has 2009 gone?

One final mention….I’ve been booking all of our flights and hotels by going through Ebates first. Ebates is a free service that gives you a percentage back by check or direct deposit every three months. (You also get cash back for referrals, so if you haven’t signed up, click through my link and do so!) I’ve seriously made about $50 back from our travels over the past couple of months. I’ve also done most of my shopping online and through Ebates.

And with that, it’s time for work for this busy girl.
