allergies + training = no fun
What to share this evening (as I keep up with my blog post a day for a month?)
I’ve stepped up my training recently. Running and sometimes doing Jillian Michaels’ shred DVD in the same day. Our half marathon is next week and I want to be prepared. Plus, I really want to look halfway decent in a bathing suit this summer. Oh, and the exercising makes me feel good.
It’s been harder to work out this week. I forgot to take allergy meds on Sunday, spent half the day outside and have been regretting it ever since. Headaches galore and my eyes feel like they’re going to fall out of my head. I hate allergies.
Our lawn is out of control again, and every day I try to mow it, it rains. Take today, for example. I left the office and it wasn’t raining. By the time I got to the bridge – less than 1/2 mile away – I couldn’t even see out my windshield because of the torrential downpour. Two hours later? Sunny again.
No more school, so as of tomorrow, my husband is on furlough for the summer š (Our bank splits his paychecks up so he gets paid over the summer, but he’s technically a 10-month employee, therefore leaving him on furlough for two months.) It’s fun to joke about his furlough. Mine starts the week after next and it’s not going to be fun when I get that paycheck. Eek.
One week from right now, I should be blogging from Buffalo, NY. That’s pretty exciting! I’m already missing our cat, though. She’s favoring me this week (over the husband) and it’s cute. š We’re considering making her a traveling cat. I don’t know how that would go over, though.
I have my “show us where you live Friday” post already written for you! How excited does that make you? I know I’m pretty happy to be on top of things, for once. We’re throwing a party this weekend, so we’ve been cleaning a lot. Makes the pictures look better when everything’s clean!
