It’s Sunday evening and we (my mom and I) leave for Hawaii on Wednesday morning – around 4:15. Our flight takes off around 5:30 a.m. and we will be in Honolulu around 6 p.m. (or midnight for you east coast people!)
I’ve just started really packing. Last night around 11 p.m., I got a burst of energy/ambition/whatever-you-want-to-call-it and broke out my carry-on bag. I’m packing most of my stuff in that, and my mom and I are sharing a suitcase, so we can cut down on some of the costs. (Really, Delta. Do you have to charge $25 per checked bag? Ridiculous.)
I have so much to do in the next two and a half days! Finish packing, make sure I have plenty to read, download movies or tv shows to my iPod, make a new handbag. Important stuff! And that doesn’t include the pedicure I have an appointment to get on Tuesday morning.
I guess it’s good that I’m furloughed starting tomorrow.
Instead of packing, I am now going to juggle laundry and bag-making. Wish me luck.
