(almost) mid-week randoms

It’s almost Wednesday. It hasn’t been a bad week, for which I’m grateful, and I have a full weekend of nothing planned to look forward to! That said, there’s a lot happening so in pure Jaime-fashion, I need to get this list out of my head.

–My mom’s tackled the baby’s closet head-on. We came home from baby class on Sunday and I knew she had been painting. (I should have suspected it when she said “talk to you later, or soon.”) I had hoped that her spackeling job could be sanded and painted this week, but never expected her to paint it when we weren’t there!
–That said, I’m wondering if I can convince her to help me with the first of the shelves tomorrow? She’s off, and I’m getting out of work a little early. Fingers crossed.
–We’re going to see Elvis Costello tonight! I have no idea what to expect, but I bought our tickets months ago (a week early birthday present for the husband who is a huge fan.)
–I’ve been plotting out races to run after McLittle is born. I can’t wait to get back to exercising.
–I tackled the garden this past weekend. In between classes. Lettuce was dug up (it was too big, and it gets bitter when it’s overgrown.) Tomatoes were caged and I found a lot of plants that had been moved by the fallen tree. Also managed to pick a cucumber, zucchini, beans and a few tomatoes. Sadly, we lost a lot of basil, and my squash isn’t coming in quite like I had hoped it would. At least we have some vegetables to salvage, though.
–Chloe has found that she likes to sleep on my side when I’m napping on the couch. I guess she likes the extra space. šŸ™‚
–I’ve been drowning in work this week between training for an upgraded system, conference calls and just every day tasks. I’m exhausted.
–I’m already thinking about vacation for next summer. (I guess it’s pointless to think about anything before next year.) There have been talks of a family reunion (in New York) and a memorial service for my grandfather. So New York is definitely a strong possibility for a trip. I also want to go to the beach. And who knows where else?

I think that’s enough from my head for the moment. Thanks for reading!
