{almost} Wordless Wednesday: Short hike in Asheville NC

We went for a short, VERY kid-friendly hike with a friend and her dog last month – one of my last days of maternity leave. We quickly found a creek to play in, and my son took full advantage of it.

The baby was along for the ride in the jogging stroller and did fantastic. (I should do a post on all of the random places we nurse, because I sat on a rock that day to feed her.) 😉

My son was begging to go on another hike right away. Better yet, he took a two-hour nap that afternoon and still went to bed at a decent hour. (Sometimes naps can kill bedtime.)

If you’re in the Asheville, NC area, we parked at the Hard Times trailhead in Bent Creek. It was fantastic.

  1. We tried to go there earlier this summer, but I got lost and we ended up on a ridiculous dirt-biking trail! Maybe I’ll try again with someone with a sense of direction.
