We tried to go to Splasheville on Saturday, but it was closed. We instead recreated a splash pad in our back yard and someone had a blast.
If you have young kids (or maybe even grown kids!), have you made it to a splash pad this summer? We’ve only been once, right after the Color Run, and I was planning on going a lot! What are you doing to soak up the last little bit of summer that remains?
He is way too cute. What kid doesn’t love an afternoon of splashing around in the water?
He is adorable! They are so easy to please at that age with just a little water in the summertime!
We’ve tried doing splash pads in our area a few times but they’re too busy and loud for my kiddo so we make our own with sprinklers and little pools
Aww. Your son is so adorable! This post just made my day!
Very resourceful! Looks like the little one had a blast! I don’t have children but I am remember playing on splash pads as a kid!
How cute. There is nothing more fun then a great water activity in this heat.
I don’t know what Splashville is, but it looks like you made it work (and for a lot less dough).
That is a cool way to do it! If you can’t go to it, then build it…right? Lol
What a fun time, and I love that you did it at home. 🙂 My kids love water play, always.
We’ll be spending the last bit of summer out by the pool. That’s about the only place to be when it’s 100 degrees outside.
He is adorable! Looks like a fun, refreshing time! I miss running around in the sprinkler with my kiddos on hot sunny days!
Looks like he had a blast! We boys love water play.
He is adorable! And he sure looks like he is having lots of fun. My friend and I are running a summer camp this week and we had a ‘splash day’ on Tuesday and another one tomorrow. I can’t help myself…I have to join in. 🙂
Some of my favorite childhood memories are surrounding backyard water play. It’s the BEST!
Isn’t he the cutest. My kids love playing in the water, too.
Aw kids and sprinklers are the cutest thing!Aw the joys of being a child…Im a big kid I need to find a sprinkler to run through lol!
Aww he is so adorable and yes I’ am in Texas which means hellish hot summers and cranky kids, we took my neighbors at least twice every week this summer to different splash parks.
Oh how fun!! I love summer moments like these with the kiddos. Sweet!
That looks like an amazing summer memory! Thanks for sharing the pictures!
that’s a great idea. He’s adorable too
No splash pads for us this year. I have no idea where they even are. We live in a rural area and I don’t know of any around here. I am pretty sure when kiddo travels with others for little trips they visit them.
We usually set up our pool during the summer but we moved this summer and couldn’t. We instead bought some water guns and had a ton of fun with those. We also went to an amusement park and the water rides were what my daughter loved most.
We have made it to the pool a few times this summer. It has been really perfect weather for it!
I think we all have pics of our kids drinking the water. How fun!
He is having a blast! It didn’t get very hot this year, so we didn’t break out the sprinklers 🙁
These are great pictures! Looks like your little one had a great summer. I always wanted one of these when I was a kid. 🙂
Aw he is adorable! He looks like he had a wonderful day!
Now that’s what I call SUMMER FUN! I love to get soaking wet. I tried to get my kids drenched yesterday and they weren’t having it. LOL
Gotta love the sprinklers! We had some water play fun today too!
Great idea! I love the summer and this looks like such a fun way for the kids to enjoy the water and play outside.
Looks like you had fun. We did have a water balloon over the summer. Now the kids want to have one every day.
I love the pic of him trying to drink the water! That’s too cute!
