We tried to go to Splasheville on Saturday, but it was closed. We instead recreated a splash pad in our back yard and someone had a blast.

If you have young kids (or maybe even grown kids!), have you made it to a splash pad this summer? We’ve only been once, right after the Color Run, and I was planning on going a lot! What are you doing to soak up the last little bit of summer that remains?

  1. We’ve tried doing splash pads in our area a few times but they’re too busy and loud for my kiddo so we make our own with sprinklers and little pools

  2. He is adorable! And he sure looks like he is having lots of fun. My friend and I are running a summer camp this week and we had a ‘splash day’ on Tuesday and another one tomorrow. I can’t help myself…I have to join in. 🙂

  3. Aw kids and sprinklers are the cutest thing!Aw the joys of being a child…Im a big kid I need to find a sprinkler to run through lol!

  4. Aww he is so adorable and yes I’ am in Texas which means hellish hot summers and cranky kids, we took my neighbors at least twice every week this summer to different splash parks.

  5. No splash pads for us this year. I have no idea where they even are. We live in a rural area and I don’t know of any around here. I am pretty sure when kiddo travels with others for little trips they visit them.

  6. Now that’s what I call SUMMER FUN! I love to get soaking wet. I tried to get my kids drenched yesterday and they weren’t having it. LOL

  7. Great idea! I love the summer and this looks like such a fun way for the kids to enjoy the water and play outside.
