another music-filled night

Erick Baker and Will Hoge were back in town on Thursday night. I’ve been waiting for Will to come back to Asheville for two years. He was supposed to play at the Orange Peel last November, but in August of last year, he was in a pretty horrific accident. He just started playing smaller venues again in June.

Time got away from me, and I kind of chose not to pursue an interview for a story. I’ve had good and bad interviews and talks with Will, and I think he’s a genuinely good person, but I didn’t want to feel offended if something went wrong (not enough people show up, my story get heavily edited and portray him in a bad light, something like that.) So, I didn’t do a story on this show. I went totally as a fan, and I’m glad I did 🙂

I got a chance to talk to Erick in person, for once. I met him briefly in person earlier this year, but it was at the Orange Peel, and it was hectic and only for a few seconds. He’s such a good person.

Will Hoge’s CD comes out at the end of this month….and I’m dyinggggg to get it early!! Everything I’ve heard so far sounds great, and we all know how I feel about new music!
