It’s January and it actually feels like January, but worse.
I started back at work today after two weeks off. Such a great two weeks off. Well, the first week was great. The second week was full of sickness and plans that didn’t really work out, because of all of the sickness. Then last night, the toddler wouldn’t go to sleep because his ears hurt (he actually cried, “I hurt the ears!”) It was pretty sad. We tried several natural remedies to try to help him when he woke at 11. They apparently worked because around 1, I was finally able to put him back in his crib and he wasn’t crying anymore.
Did you know that drops of olive oil in the ears can help with ear infections/earaches? I had no clue. Thanks to my husband and Google for figuring that out.
I rushed to get ready for work this morning only to find it snowing as soon as I was finished getting dressed. Snow and I don’t get along (especially in our neighborhood.) I delayed going in, and worked from home this morning.
The toddler is feeling better, the temperatures are insanely cold (single digits, people!) and I feel like I need another week off to catch up on everything I couldn’t catch up on last week.
Oh and I’ve washed all loads of laundry. I’m caught up on washing – and drying! Now if only I could catch up on folding.
In non-sickness, non-chore-like news, the photo blog is up! I’m still working with the theme, but at least photos are appearing.
How is your week going? (One last thing, I didn’t exercise today. I feel like a slug.)
