attack cat
Oliver and Sophie have been at the house a lot this week. I was hoping that Chloe would get used to the dogs and they could co-exist. It’s been two and a half months, and that has yet to happen. Instead, Chloe stalks the dogs and scares the crap out of them.
Oliver won’t even come into the house willingly anymore. He used to love walking around and exploring.
And Sophie? She whines. Every time she sees the cat, she wimpers. And with good reason. Today I watched the two interact. Sophie would whine and I knew Chloe was close by. Also keep in mind that Sophie likes to basically glue herself to my legs when she’s at the house. So we were in the kitchen, while I made dinner, and here was Chloe peering in through one entrance of the kitchen:
Can I just take a moment and mention that Sophie weighs over 50 pounds, while Chloe weighs 12?
While we were eating, Sophie sat next to my chair and I watched Chloe creep closer and closer….until she hissed and then tried to smack Sophie.
After dinner, I went to the office and Sophie got under the desk. She was hiding from the cat:
Last weekend, we left the dogs in the house with Chloe while we did grocery shopping and ran errands for two hours. Something happened in that two hours and has prevented Oliver from coming into the house. After watching Sophie today, I think I may have a clue as to what our attack cat did to Oliver…
You should take comfort in the fact that you have a very well trained attack cat.
