baby shower – monkeying around
This past weekend, we had baby shower number three. This one was in Asheville, and was held in a room at the Botanical Gardens. My friends Lena and April hosted it, including me on some of the plans along the way.
A monkey/jungle theme was set a couple of months ago. These were the invitations (ordered from VistaPrint).
Blue and yellow were the party colors and showcased in the pom poms, table cloths and food.
A photo “booth” was set up in a corner, and out of two dozen people, only three people weren’t photographed. I loved the photo booth idea for scrapbooking purposes.
A craft table was set up, and April chose fabrics and made appliques for onesies and burp cloths. We have a TON of onesies and burp cloths now – and they’re all SO CUTE. She brought fabric for people to make their own appliques, just in case people were feeling particularly crafty (and some were!)
And check out the blow-up monkey on the gift table! So funny. And he’s now in our house. Chloe isn’t a huge fan.
I’m going to have to do a whole post on the burp cloths and onesies. I haven’t taken pictures of all of them, and they all turned out so great!
We’re really fortunate to have so many friends and family wanting to celebrate McLittle with us. My work is still planning on throwing a shower, and then I think our house will officially be overflowing with baby stuff (as if it isn’t already!)
Heheh I love the arrow pointing to your belly, and the inflatable monkey. Hilarious.
