{baby update} 14 weeks
I decided that it was time to start tracking this whole baby thing. Several blogs that I follow are using this format, and since I haven’t purchased a journal yet, I need to document this somewhere. So get ready, readers. Weekly updates. (I also want to use this as a way to update family members who we don’t live close to.)
So, without further ado…..
How far along am I: 14 Weeks
Size of baby: McLittle is the size of a lemon, or a clenched fist
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I’ve gained 8 pounds since mid-December
Clothes: I’m wearing a mixture of maternity clothes and regular clothes. The pants that fit me the best are my Gap jeans (my regular, non maternity jeans.) I’m actually considering buying another pair just because I love them so much.
Gender: Not sure. Ultrasound is scheduled for March 30.
Movement: Not yet
Sleep: I can usually sense the night before if I’m going to sleep soundly. I feel a little uneasy. I’ve had several nights of waking up at 4 a.m. and not falling back to sleep. And Chloe woke me up this week at 4 a.m., so that was fun. Before this, I slept through the night without a problem. I’m also not the type to get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night (and I still haven’t had to do that, which I guess makes me lucky for the time-being.)
What I miss: Is it wrong to say daiquiris? Because I really do miss those. Oh, and running. I miss real running. Not this kind-of-jogging I sometimes do.
Cravings: One week it was Papa John’s pizza (the garlic sauce, really), another week it was spinach. It varies, and I don’t think I’ve really had any major cravings this week. I cringe at the thought of eating chicken we have to cook at home. Though, I’m fine with eating it if it’s from a restaurant.
Symptoms: I feel fat this week, not pregnant. We’ve been to several parties and gatherings recently, and I’m usually the girl in the corner drinking the 32 ounces of water. No sangria for me, thankyouverymuch. Kenny has been able to experience the mood swings in full effect – which usually hit when I’m hungry. Yeah. Trying to not let that happen often.
Best moment this week: Today a co-worker said to me, “You know, if you hadn’t told me, I wouldn’t know that you were pregnant just by looking at you.” It was awesome.
Now for the awkward photos. I decided since I haven’t shared any photos of me recently, I’d do a side-by-side comparison. The one on the left, while blurry, is me at 10 weeks, 4 days. The one on the right, of me with the crazy look on my face, is from tonight. Yoga pants are where it’s at. I’m just saying. I wish I could wear them to work.
Can I just say I love the McLittle! I see a baby bump! So exciting!
I’m with you on the chicken, i had to have G cook it for me for a while!
Looking good girl!
you look great! so excited for you!
Yep. If you didn’t know, there was no way to guess you were pregnant by looking at you.
Looking forward to your updates!! You are looking wonderful……Lot’s of heavy, wet snow up this way. Started about 2AM & hasn’t stopped since. Huge snowflakes!! Love to all, Aunt Linda
