Baby update {25 weeks}
Is it terrible that I don’t really want to start real foods yet? It means that this baby is getting bigger (which I clearly know is happening) and I kind of like her just the way she is.
This week we had Homecoming and I wore her during my entire work day – and she was amazing! She definitely preferred her own crib when we finally made it home, but she napped on me, enjoyed music with me (with headphones so we don’t damage her eardrums) and was just the best.
She is giggling a little more, “talking” a little less (it really depends on her mood as to when she starts talking), but smiling almost all of the time. Her brother can get her to laugh the most. She just thinks so highly of him.
We’ll be starting solids this week. I’m excited to see how she takes to them. I am least excited about the change in her diapers (because it’s inevitable.) Also, solid foods can be fairly inconvenient. She’s been exclusively nursing (I pump at work, so formula hasn’t been needed) and it’s just so easy for us.
She has started really focusing in on the cat lately, and has even touched the cat. The cat insists on being close to me, so it all comes with the territory. Thankfully, Chloe is still very tolerant and gentle around the baby.
