Baby update {week 11}
The sweetest baby girl is 11 weeks old. She smiles often, sleeps a lot (she needs her beauty rest), but she’s been waking more and more during the day.
She generally wakes around 6 a.m., sleeps for another hour or so, and takes a nap around 8:30 or 9. She usually naps during lunchtime and then if we’re lucky she’ll take a longer nap in the afternoon before waking for a couple of hours. She really hates the dinnertime hour. Her bedtime is 7 p.m. – if I can get her to hold out that late.
I’ve started putting 3-6 month clothes on her. We’ve got a couple more weeks in size 1 diapers, I think. We’ll see. I have used a store brand diaper and it didn’t hold up so well. We didn’t have that luxury with Lucas. He was so sensitive to everything that we had to use things as natural as possible.
She loves sucking her thumb to put herself to sleep – but mainly on the activity mat or in her crib. She doesn’t put her thumb in her mouth in her car seat in most cases.
She’s grabbing more toys intentionally. She is starting to pay more attention to people around her, and loves it when I dance and sing for her. 😉 She smiles at Lucas a LOT and he plays a lot of musical toys for her. If she’s on her mat or in her swing, he will be the first to make sure a good song is playing for her.
