This is the post where I mention the gender of McLittle. (You’ll have to keep reading a bit.) We had our ultrasound yesterday, and details of that may come in another post.
How far along am I: 19 Weeks
Size of baby: McLittle is now the size of a mango. I think this is roughly 6 or 7 inches long.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I’ve gained 15 pounds since mid-December. Doctors don’t seem concerned with the weight gain, so I’m trying not to stress about it.
Clothes: Surprisingly, some of my jeans still fit! Most of my other clothes are maternity clothes. Shirts and dress pants, for sure.
Gender: It’s a boy!
Movement: Still no real movements this week (and, again, the doctor isn’t concerned, so I’m trying not to be.)
Sleep: This week hasn’t been the greatest for sleep – until last night. For three mornings, I woke up at 4 or 4:30 and I don’t fall back asleep until my alarm is about to go off. Makes for interesting days at work.
What I miss: Would I be crazy to admit I miss cleaning Chloe’s litter box? Because I do. I’m always nagging Kenny about it (each and every night) and this morning he was all mad because I went ahead and did it. (He was running late for work, it wasn’t done last week, and I washed my hands immediately after.)
Cravings: Fruit, in general. I’ve been eating a lot of it – pineapples, strawberries, grapes. Whatever we still have in the refrigerator.
Symptoms: Insomnia at 4 a.m. Oh how I wish it would go away.
Best moment this week: Best moment was telling my grandpa we were having a boy. He was just moved to the VA Hospice wing and while he may seem out of it, he has remembered every thing we’ve told him about this pregnancy. My mom was with me, and we showed him the pictures of the ultrasound – which he later brought up when my grandma was visiting him. Just proves that he’s not as out of it as some people would like to think he is.
No photo this week. Maybe this evening, but I can’t make any promises. It’s been a rough day.
