{Baby update} Week 2
I’m two for two on photos – and updates – for baby number 2!
It’s hard to believe two weeks have flown by (and my husband is back at work.) Those two weeks really were a blur.
Lilah is still sleeping really well. We had her two week appointment, and she was 21 inches long, and weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces. She’s still 4 ounces off from her birth weight, so they want to see her again next week for a weight check (and the goal is to gain at least 7 ounces this week.)
She still sleeps a lot. I’m setting an alarm every night in order to feed her. She’d rather sleep, though…except at 5 a.m. when she decides she needs to eat and stay awake.
She’s still very sweet and mellow (most of the time.) I took her to the Herb Festival on Friday, and she hung out in the Moby wrap the entire time – and she was so content. I’ve since taken her one more place in the Moby wrap and she slept the entire time. I love babywearing, and it’s safe to say she’s also a fan.
She isn’t as in love with the swing as her brother was. She slept in it (kind of) the first night we were at home until I moved her to her crib around 2 or 3 a.m. She’s been in her crib ever since, but she occasionally naps in the swing. (Sometimes I just have to put her down, and the swing is the easiest way to keep tabs on her.)
Her big brother loves to talk about her to his classmates. He’s definitely proud, and we’re working on ways he can help out with her. You can tell she likes listening to him. She will try to focus on him when he’s talking, and we’re encouraging him to talk to her more.
