It’s all downhill from here! We’re more than halfway through the pregnancy and I feel pretty good, for the most part.

How far along am I: 21 Weeks

Size of baby: McLittle is now the size of a large banana.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I wasn’t going to weigh myself this morning, since we got back from vacation last night. I’m up 17.5 pounds.

Clothes: Maternity capris were my best friend this week at the beach. I’m still able to wear my regular workout clothes (most of them, at least.)

Gender: It’s a boy!

Movement: Movement is still mostly at night – I’m thinking I notice it then because it’s the only time I’m really still.

Sleep: Sleep has been fantastic – until the night before we left to come home. I think I was anxious about getting out of the villa at a decent time, waking up on time, etc.

What I miss: Walking up a hill without being out of breath.

Cravings: Still fruit. Can’t get enough of it. And occasionally I want ice cream (not the sherbet kind, either.)

Symptoms: I’m out of breath when I walk up stairs or the hill next to our house. Annoying!

Best moment this week: Water aerobics! I loved them so much, I’m considering getting the aquatics membership at our YWCA for the next year.

Worst moment this week: (Just had to add this one – for this week at least.) The unsolicited advice from complete strangers. We received a lot of it – mostly from a family visiting the beach from Asheville. Go figure.

And today you get an awkward, sun in my face, beach photo:

  1. You and the beach look great.

I hated that out of breath feeling, too. If you are carrying high, it’s not going to get much better I’m afraid. šŸ™
