{baby update} week 22
It’s been a mixed-up week for me. Started out with a cold at the end of last week, and just some all around bad days since then. (I do love knowing that I can fight a cold without meds, though. Good to know when I’m allowed to take whatever is over the counter….or in our medicine cabinet.)
How far along am I: 22 Weeks
Size of baby: McLittle weighs about a pound, and is roughly 8 inches long. No fruit comparison this week, I’m afraid.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I’m up 19 pounds. This is discouraging, since my eating habits are pretty great, and I’m walking a LOT. Every day.
Clothes: I can still wear my running clothes (t-shirts and running shorts – not the tight running clothes that I wear in the winter.) Of course, I’m not doing much running these days.
Gender: It’s a boy!
Movement: There’s a lot more movement these days, but Kenny still hasn’t felt him move. Hopefully that’ll happen soon. McLittle tends to move more during the day, and I’m not with Kenny during the day.
Sleep: Sleep has been pretty good. There’s a battle of the heat/cold going on in our bedroom. *Someone* wants to keep the heated blanket on the bed (thank goodness it’s a dual controlled blanket) while I want to take it off and keep the ceiling fans going. It was 80 degrees yesterday!
What I miss: I really could have used a daiquiri this week. I didn’t have one, for obvious reasons, but I really wanted one. Not being able to take OTC medicine has bothered me, but I’ve come to terms with that.
Cravings: I can eat my weight (which is a lot) in strawberries.
Symptoms: I’m tired again. I tried to garden my heart out last weekend, and didn’t realize how worn out I was until a few hours into it and I had to take a nap. I was exhausted! I get more sore from the simplest tasks (like gardening.) My hamstrings were tight for 3 days after last weekend’s activities.
Best moment this week: Reading the baby name books. We have several names that we’re not going to use, and we’re having fun calling the baby those names when people ask.
I had no idea how big I looked until I saw this photo. (I’m also holding my shirt on the right side, which doesn’t help things.) Wow. Oh, and Kenny wanted in on the action.
((hugs)) You look great!
I can’t believe you’re already this far along! The time is flying! You look great too. Don’t worry about that scale. If you are eating healthy and moving, you’re doing great.
Nice pictures…….Please have a wonderful Easter! Give my love to all. Aunt Linda
