{Baby update} week 3
This sweet little girl is three weeks old, yet it now feels like she’s been with us for far longer than that.
She had her weight check and gained 8 ounces in a week – just over what they wanted her to gain. The pediatrician was very happy with that, so we’re clear from doctor visits until her two month visit!
She’s already out of newborn diapers (we kept her in the until her umbilical cord fell off. Then we wanted to use up the pack. After many leaks, we finally used them up.) Most of her newborn outfits don’t fit, so I’m rotating those out of the dresser.
She still sleeps pretty great at night. We also have the go ahead in a week or two to go by her cues at night. Right now I’m setting an alarm and trying to wake myself up to wake her up.
We’re seeing more awake time and she’s been focusing on lights, especially when I’m changing her. She had her first bath. She was not a fan. I’m hopeful this will get easier for her.
