back in the swing of things
I got back at 1 a.m. on Thursday morning. Our flight was late landing (electrical problems. I didn’t need to know that from the pilot.) It took me about 10 minutes to locate my car (tough to do when you’re so tired, and half of the parking lot is closed to construction) and I then called my brother who is now in Hawaii, because I needed someone to keep me awake. Poor Jason, having to listen to me most of my drive home!
I was a zombie at work. Less than five hours of sleep and I was going until after 9 last night. I got 8 hours of sleep Thursday night and felt like a new person this morning!
The cat is beside herself, she’s so happy I’m home. (She’s happily resting in my lap, with one paw on the keyboard.) I’m not so sure the husband is as excited to have me home. I think he was getting used to the bachelor lifestyle.
I’m running 12 miles in the morning and then heading to Charlotte to work on a little bit of Christmas shopping. I can’t believe the Christmas season is upon us.
In more exciting news than my own life, you must check out my friend’s blog. She and her husband just brought their daughter home from Haiti after what seemed like a forever-long adoption process. I’ve been checking out their daily photos on Facebook, and watching the status updates on Vivine’s “firsts” in her new home, and they are very, very exciting. I’m SO very happy for the three of them!!
